From learning knowledge and know-how to sharing it.

Ms.Aikawa
Fashion Apparel Dept. Sales Sec.-Ⅳ

Interview

01.Please tell us about your work.

I belong to a department that handles sportswear and outdoor apparel products, including fashion accessories. In coordination with team members responsible for sales planning and production management, I take care of the entire trade administration, including document preparation for orders, procedures necessary for import/export, and ensuring that the cargo is transported without any issues.

02.Is there something you focus on in your work?

Sports and outdoor products often use functional materials more than general apparel, requiring knowledge about special materials like waterproof, water-repellent, and moisture-wicking fabrics in my tasks such as document preparation. I make it a point to stay informed about new materials by attending new product exhibitions and similar events.

03.What do you find rewarding about your job?

It might be true for all apparel production, but even experienced individuals can face challenges in the manufacturing process. I find it rewarding when, despite such challenges, I can meet the client's requests and ensure timely delivery through careful coordination.

04.Is there anything you want to challenge in the future?

Having been on the learning side since joining as a new graduate, I now want to be the one passing on knowledge and know-how, just like my seniors did for me. Also, working in trade has sparked my interest in deepening my knowledge about customs clearance. I'm currently studying for the customs broker certification and aim to challenge myself to obtain it in the future.
